Taska Prosthetics, headquartered in New Zealand, will begin operating in the United States from a new base in Salt Lake City on April 1, 2027. The base will become the company’s hub for sales, support, clinical engagement, service, and training across the Americas.
Taska is waiting until its US distribution agreement with Fillauer ends on March 31, 2027, following years of collaboration with Fillauer and Motion Control.
“We are very grateful to Fillauer and Motion Control as well as Hanger group for the role they have played in establishing Taska in the United States,” said Ben Travers, CEO, Taska Prosthetics. “Moving to a direct model is the next stage of Taska’s development. It brings us closer to clinicians and users in the world’s most important prosthetics market, and offers a stronger base for service, learning, and future innovation.”
Taska is part of Eqwal Group’s products and components division, which brings together upper-limb O&P component manufacturers from across the Eqwal network, including Steeper Group.
“Our first responsibility is to the people using our hands every day,” Travers said. “Setting up service capability in Salt Lake City is about protecting continuity of repairs, support, and clinical care. Users and clinicians should not experience a gap in service through this transition.”
