UCHealth Stapleton Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation will hold its monthly amputee support group meeting online on Wednesday, April 15, 4-5:30 p.m.
UCHealth has been holding its monthly support group for people with amputations since 2013, said Guy Lev, PT, DPT, COMT, supervisor of Rehab Services for the clinic, which is part of the University of Colorado (UC) School of Medicine and UCHealth.
March’s monthly meeting was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. “But along with our world, we have adapted and changed ourselves,” Lev said. “We are now much more online savvy and equipped.”
Those with issues connecting to the online meeting can call or text Lev at 303-638-5442.
In the interim, Lev is asking those who need peer support to call the office at 720-553-2724. “We have many people and resources able to do one-on-one peer support or on-the-phone support, if needed,” he said.
