
I write this at the close of a heated 2012 presidential election and a narrow victory for President Barack Obama. Regardless of the election outcome, this year’s contest holds special significance for my husband Rob and me, as it was our daughter Ashley’s first time at the polls. This, coupled with the enthusiasm that our youngest daughter Casey has for her first high school government class, has resulted in a lot of political talk, questions, and, of course, arguments in our home. While we don’t agree on all aspects, the ongoing dialog in our home has been wonderful!
