What does this mean for your O&P practice? “Watering the grass” means focusing your attention on the things that matter most to your business. Your mission statement isn’t just a fancy sentence you put on your website and forget about. It’s the heart and soul of your practice. It’s why you get up every morning and do what you do. It’s the reason your practice exists. I have firsthand knowledge of practices that created a mission statement because facility accreditation standards require it. The words are cute.
