The American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetists (the Academy) recognized its 2022 Academy Award winners during opening ceremonies at its Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium in Atlanta March 2-5.
Winners included: Mark Edwards, MHPE, CP, Titus Ferguson award; Jeffrey Brandt, CP, Distinguished Practitioner award; C. Leigh Davis, MSPO, CPO, FAAOP, Clinical Commitment award; Deanna Fish, MS, CPO, Clinical Creativity award; Nick Stilwell, Mohamed Amin award for humanitarian service; Sally DiBello, MPO, CPO, Outstanding Educator award; Brian Hafner, PhD; Research award; and Shawn Swanson Johnson, OTR/L, Honorary Member award.
Edwards spoke during the opening session. “It’s so great to be together in person again,” he said. “I am honored to be part of such a distinguished group of nominees.”
