David Hendricks, CPO, president of Blue Diamond Orthopedic, Florida, shared a reformatted version of the 2024 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Pricing, Data Analysis and Coding L-Code file. Hendricks reformats the document to be more useful for O&P providers and shares it on the Blue Diamond website at no charge. Hendricks and Blue Diamond accept no liability for its use and request that users notify him if errors are found.
According to Hendrick’s post on the OANDP-L listserv, the 2024 CMS file was reformatted as follows:
- All but L-Codes were eliminated, with a few A-Codes added back.
- An average-allowable column was added.
- A long-description column to the far right was inserted.
- All columns were made sortable.
- They cleaned it up and added some color.
“CMS now leaves the Ceiling and Floor cells blank on OTS spinal and knee orthoses, causing us to leave the Average cells blank as well,” he also noted.
