Advanced Arm Dynamics (AAD), Redondo Beach, California, has announced the opening of its Northeast Center of Excellence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ryan Spill, CP, will serve as the center’s clinical manager.
In 2007 Spill joined the AAD team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington DC, as an upper-limb specialist. Prior to that, he served as a clinical representative for Motion Control, Salt Lake City, Utah, training prosthetists worldwide in externally powered fitting techniques.
Spill received his certificate in prosthetics from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a bachelor of science degree in health sciences from Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania. He has presented at national and international symposiums on upper-limb prosthetics topics.
“Advanced Arm Dynamics’ mission is to provide the highest level of care to upper extremity patients,” John Miguelez, CP, AAD president and senior clinical director, said. “The Northeast Center of Excellence positions a skilled clinical team in the region, creating a convenient location for patients to access specialized care.”
“It’s exciting to already be busy helping patients at the Northeast Center,” Spill said. “We’re able to take a lot of what we did at Walter Reed working with young, motivated service members, and share those creative designs and techniques with our patients here.”
