The Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) announced that Emily Tierney has been selected as the 2015 Dale Yasukawa Scholarship winner. Tierney is a student in the master’s program at Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC) and has been following career choices and educational pursuits within O&P since 2005.
The $1,000 scholarship, which is maintained and awarded by OPAF in cooperation with Linda Yasukawa, PT, MS, is currently open to all full-time master’s level candidates enrolled at NUPOC, with the intent that the winner will use the funds to defray O&P meeting registration fees or to help offset education expenses. The memorial fund was established at OPAF in November 2001 in the name of the late Dale Yasukawa, CP.
