Steampunk Bionics Academy, a brand of CFS Allied Health Education, Oklahoma, has submitted its pedorthic program to the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) for approval.
If granted approval, Steampunk will begin to enroll students for classes that will be held in multiple locations, including in Tulsa, as well as a satellite campus in Jacksonville, Florida and Bensalem, Pennsylvania, which will open soon. A mobile lab will provide classes to students around the country.
The program will consist of an 80-hour online class portion and a five-day live class.

Sevier, BS Ed, BOCO, CPOA, CPED, ASO, ASP, is co-owner of CFS Allied Health Education, providers of ABC and The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) certified orthotic fitter, ABC, BOC approved distance continuing education, ABC certified therapeutic shoe fitter, and Steampunk Bionics Academy 3D Printing classes.
Yolanda M. Sevier, LPN, CPED, Cfo, ASO, ASP, is co-owner of CFS Allied Health Education, providers of ABC and BOC certified orthotic fitter, ABC and BOC approved distance continuing education, ABC certified therapeutic shoe fitter, and Steampunk Bionics Academy 3D Printing classes.
In 2009, Sevier obtained his BOC orthotist certification, after practicing as an O&P assistant since 2005, and interning with companies such as Hanger Clinic and Orpro Prosthetics & Orthotics. The orthotic fitter program was approved by BOC in 2009 and ABC in 2015. It has served roughly 10,000 students since its creation, successfully utilizing distance learning. Today CFS has educational products in 19 universities in nine countries.
Steampunk Bionics Academy was launched as a trademark of CFS in May 2016.
