Lisa Anne Gravell Tweardy, founder and CEO, Mign, passed away on June 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was 61. Mign manufactures 3D-printed wearable medical orthoses. 
Tweardy earned a bachelor’s degree in fundamental science/bioengineering from Lehigh University and a master’s in management of technology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Wharton. For more than 30 years, she worked across orthopedics, prosthetics, neuroscience, spine innovation, and personalized medical devices.
As a principal at Kemo Sabe, a medical equipment manufacturing company, where she had been since 2015, clients included UNYQ 3D-printed custom orthopedic and prosthetic devices. Previously she served as CEO for Combat Medical, general manager for Biomet Bracing, and vice president, orthopedics, and general manager, spine, at Össur. She was awarded 19 patents and had published research in Spine and the Journal of Neurosurgery.
