The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) announced the appointment of Charity Quick, MBA, CAE, as its new executive director. Quick has more than 25 years of management experience in the nonprofit industry. She will assume the role on July 17.
Before joining the Academy, Quick served as the executive director/CEO for the Biomedical Engineering Society. Prior to that, she served in the same capacity for the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International.
“We are thrilled to welcome Charity as our new executive director,” said JoAnne Kanas, DPT, CPO, Academy president. “Her extensive experience as an executive director for professional societies will provide leadership, and her passion for creating strong relationships will help reinforce the Academy’s collaborative approach. We feel fortunate to have found her and look forward to a successful and invigorating future with her at the helm.”
