Cassandra Isidro, president and CEO of the Amputation Coalition, resigned effective August 22.
She will continue to work with the organization transitioning her day-to-day work to the senior team and interim CEO. The Amputee Coalition is expected to name an interim CEO on Tuesday, September 2.
The American Society of Breast Surgeons has also named Isidro as its new executive director.
“The work of the last few years has been about restoring the Amputee Coalition to its original purpose with deeper community engagement, a solid commitment to support services, and serving as a spark, igniting the change that’s needed across the country to support the limb loss and limb difference community through outreach and education. I am honored to have served in steering the ship towards this correction, and while it’s been a whole lot of stress, it’s also been a tremendous heart journey, and I thank you for your support along the way,” Isidro said on LinkedIn.
