The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) announced a partnership with the Journal of Rehabilitative and Assistive Technologies Engineering (RATE), a peer-reviewed, open-access, interdisciplinary journal focusing on the engineering aspects and practical applications of rehabilitation and assistive technologies.
“We are excited about this partnership and what it means for both AOPA and the profession,” said Eve Lee, MBA, CAE, AOPA’s executive director. “This partnership will bolster the dissemination of evidence-based science, broaden the reach of O&P research to include a more diverse cohort of rehabilitation professionals, and most importantly, improve patient outcomes.”
AOPA members will be eligible for a reduced article processing charge if their manuscript is accepted for publication in RATE. The journal will include an Annual Special Collection featuring papers from AOPA’s National Assembly, and AOPA will have representation on the RATE editorial board.
