The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) will hold its 2020 Virtual Policy Forum beginning at 1 p.m. ET on May 6. AOPA cancelled its annual forum in Washington DC that was scheduled for May 5-6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The forum will allow O&P members the chance to learn about the latest legislative and regulatory issues and how they will affect businesses and their patients. It is also provides an opportunity to educate legislators on the needs of the O&P profession.
Participants will get the latest on the impacts of COVID-19, what has been done legislatively to date, and what more can be done from a policy perspective to best support the profession. AOPA will also help familiarize members with the basics on laws, procedures, and how to get one’s point of view across to legislators.
