The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) has elected its executive committee and three new directors to the board for 2020.

Chaudhry
New BOC board directors include:
- Bill Chaudhry, CDME, owner and managing partner of Freedom Medical and Mobility DBA Medi Mart, East Windsor, New Jersey. He has a bachelor of science degree in environmental and business economics from Rutgers University, Cook College.Â
- Abel Guevara III, MHIM, CDME, RHIA, durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) senior consultant and healthcare executive with more than 20 years of O&P experience. He has held various positions within the DMEPOS industry including compliance officer, general manager, and revenue cycle director. He is pursuing a doctor of health administration degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and holds a master of health information management degree from Texas State University.

Guevara
- William J. Powers, MBA, LFACHE (Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives), retired Air Force Medical Service Corps officer, previously volunteered on the BOC board for nine years. After serving in the United States Air Force as an officer and healthcare executive for 29 years, he worked in nonprofit healthcare for more than a decade, starting as the COO of a Graduate Medical Education Consortium before becoming the COO for the American Nurses Association.
