
Warfare in the Middle East continues to take a staggering toll, unleashing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Thousands of civilians have been killed or injured; millions have fled to neighboring countries or safer areas within their own countries. Buildings have been bombed and shelled into rubble and essential parts of the infrastructure, including power plants, water systems, roads, and bridges, have been badly damaged.
