The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) appointed Matt Swiggum, CEO, Proteor USA, as the board’s supplier director, effective immediately. His term will extend through November 30, when he will be eligible for inclusion on the election ballot.
With a background in executive leadership, sales, and marketing since 1997, Swiggum will help strengthen relationships with professional partners, ultimately benefiting the O&P profession, AOPA said. He has also served on the boards of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation, California Orthotics and Prosthetics Association, and the Amputee Coalition
Swiggum holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and business from Morehead State University, Kentucky, and he has completed the executive program curriculum at the Carlson School of Management.
