The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that beginning in September, a new Search page will be available on the Medicare Coverage Database (MCD) website. With this update, users can search for Medicare coverage documents with keywords, by ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes, or by document IDs using a single search term box.
The new page has been streamlined to promote user friendliness, simplicity, and speed, CMS said. The new related Search Results page will allow in-place filtering, and the two pages together will offer the functionality of the current MCD Advanced Search page. The current MCD Advanced Search page will remain on the site during the transition. Users may switch back and forth between the Search options.
