The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) updated its guidance documents for the 2028 Competitive Bidding program for durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers.
Among the updated fact sheets, CMS said that it expected to award three contracts for off-the-shelf (OTS) back braces, four contracts for OTS knee braces, and five contracts for OTS upper-limb braces. The update included CMS’ method for determining the number of contract awards.
