The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that the First Biannual (B1) 2026 hybrid HCPCS Level II Public Meeting will be held June 1, with an overflow date of June 2 to be held virtually, if necessary. Interested parties can attend at the CMS office in Baltimore or virtually to discuss CMS’ preliminary coding, Medicare benefit category, and Medicare payment determinations.
CMS conducts the biannual public meetings to provide a virtual forum for the public to present information about specific Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Level II coding requests for new products, supplies, and services. The meetings also allow industry and the public to provide feedback on the preliminary coding recommendation and CMS’ preliminary benefit category and payment determination, if applicable. Preliminary recommendations aren’t final or binding upon any payer and may change. Final decisions aren’t made at the public meeting. Submission of a code request for a product that appears on the public meeting agenda does not make meeting attendance mandatory.
All speakers, in-person attendees, and individuals who require special accommodations must register and provide the requested information to HCPCS@cms.hhs.gov by May 18 at 5 p.m. ET. Written comments will only be accepted when emailed to HCPCS@cms.hhs.gov before 5 p.m. ET on June 3.
To register or to submit a HCPCS Level II code request, visit the CMS website.
