The Hanger Foundation opened applications for its 2026 Empowerment and Veteran Grants. These annual programs provide funding to nonprofit organizations across the United States that are dedicated to empowering individuals limb loss or limb difference and other physical challenges. The application deadline is June 12.
Empowerment Grants support 501(c)(3) organizations that provide athletic programs, rehabilitation services, adaptive recreation, or community support for those with mobility challenges. Veteran Grants aim to help fund organizations supporting military veterans with limb loss, limb difference, or other mobility challenges.
All grants are currently one-year grants only, with funding available to use for expenses and activities that align with the Foundation’s giving guidelines. Grants are not provided to individuals, endowments, or political organizations.
“There are so many important nonprofits out there doing incredible, life-changing work—and we want to help fuel their success,” said Rachel Kubicki, executive director, Hanger Foundation. “As we open up this grant cycle, we are excited to see all of the incredible applications that come in—because every grant we provide represents additional people having the support they need to gain the mobility, independence, and dignity they deserve.”
