The Endolite Linx system has been named Best in Show at the 2017 Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEAs).The Linx was also awarded the gold medal in the rehabilitation and assistive technology products category. The winners were honored at a ceremony in New York on June 13.
Since its inception in 1998, the mission of the MDEAs has been to recognize significant achievements in medical product design and engineering that improve the quality of healthcare delivery and accessibility. Awards are made based on five criteria: design and engineering innovations, functional (user-related) innovations, benefits to overall healthcare, benefits to patients, and market differentiation. The Linx was selected from 45 finalists in nine medical technology product categories by a judging panel of clinicians, engineers, and designers.
Endolite is part of the Blatchford Group, Basingstoke, England, and has a U.S. office in Miamisburg, Ohio.
“Winning the Medical Design Excellence Award is a wonderful achievement and huge recognition for the Endolite team. We are honored to have received this recognition, both as the winner of the rehabilitation category, and the overall winner,” said Adrian Stenson, CEO of Blatchford.
