Extremiti3D, Charleston, South Carolina, has received $200,000 from SC Launch, the South Carolina Research Authority’s (SCRA) entrepreneurial investment program, which provides mentoring, grants, and investments to companies in the advanced materials, information technology, and life sciences industries.
Extremiti3D will use the investment to fund product development and improve workflow processes, as well as to grow the business, said Barry Hand, cofounder and CEO.
The SCRA funding is the latest for Extremiti3D, which entered into an exclusive agreement with Friddle’s Orthopedic Appliances, Honea Path, South Carolina, in late 2017 to distribute its line of 3D-printed products.
