The Utah Division of Arts & Museums’ Design Arts Program in association with the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) announced the winners of their 2022 design competition and featured the Fillauer Motion Control ETD2 prosthetic device in conjunction with the design firm Espiritu, who helped in the device’s latest iteration.
The goal of the redesign was to create a terminal device that would be functional and aesthetically pleasing and comfortable for the wearer.
“The new ETD2 challenges industry convention by defining an aesthetic and mechanical solution that accommodates for both the device use requirements and the users’ experiences,” the Design Arts Program said.
