Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration has resumed accepting applications from new durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and medical supplies (DMEPOS) providers in Florida Medicaid as of September 24.
The six-month moratorium, with the possibility of extension, took effect in March and mirrored the nationwide Medicare DMEPOS enrollment moratorium implemented by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in February. The federal moratorium was lifted on August 27.
