The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Master of Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics (MSPO) program has been notified by the college that it is being deactivated and will not be accepting applications during the process of evaluating its continuation. No students will be admitted to the program for this year’s fall semester. Current students scheduled to graduate in 2019 will be permitted to finish the course.Â
Deactivation is a two-year process in which the program could be reinstated as it is, moved to another school within the college, or ended.
Current students and program graduates have begun a social media campaign at #savegtprosthetics to gather support for the program. Letters supporting reactivation can be emailed to Ryan Sharry at [email protected].
