Studies have shown that users of microprocessor KAFOs are less likely to fall, feel more confident while wearing their devices, and are more likely to try activities they once feared. This is accomplished while giving the patients an almost natural gait.
The experts we spoke with say the technology is promising, but there are still hurdles to overcome for reimbursement from private insurers.
