The Hanger Foundation, Austin, Texas, is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for the fall 2021 cycle of the organization’s Empowerment Grants. Applications are being accepted through September 15, and grants will be awarded within approximately three months later.
Eligible recipients include local and national nonprofit organizations serving a variety of communities, including repeat award recipients as well as new grantees. The Hanger Foundation will support initiatives and programs that show maximum positive impact on the physically challenged community, including those with limb loss and limb difference, and:
- Rehabilitation and support services for related illnesses or trauma (stroke, sports injuries, combat-related injuries)
- Athletic programs, social activities, and events for individuals with physical challenges, with a special emphasis on individuals with limb loss or limb difference
The maximum grant available through the competitive process is $20,000.
