The Hanger Foundation will partner with five universities as part of its 2024-2025 Hanger Foundation Diversity Scholarship program.
The Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics (MSPO) programs at these institutions will award a two-year scholarship to students to help supplement the cost of their degree: Alabama State University, Kennesaw State University, Northwestern University, Salus at Drexel University, and the University of Pittsburgh.
“The Kennesaw State University MSPO program is honored to receive this scholarship, and we deeply appreciate the support it represents,” said Adrienne Hill, MHA, CPO/L, FAAOP, Kennesaw State University MSPO program director. “The funding will significantly enhance our ability to advance the academic and career goals of a student in the field of orthotics and prosthetics through clinical education. We are excited to make the most of this opportunity.”
In addition to receiving a scholarship, all recipients will be offered a two-year mentorship with the option of pursuing a residency at Hanger Clinic. The program was established in 2021 to help recruit underrepresented students into the O&P profession.
