Articles in the September issue of The O&P EDGE, “The Art of Hiring: Finding the Right Candidate in O&P,” and “O&P Practitioners Consider Future Succession Options Amid Changing Landscape,” inspired our most recent polls. We asked, which soft skills do you think are one of the best indicators of a candidate’s qualifications? Of those who responded on LinkedIn, 68 percent said adaptability, 19 percent said collaboration, 8 percent said culture fit, and 5 percent said leadership skills.
Last week’s question was, if you were an owner, what would you do in terms of succession planning? On LinkedIn, 42 percent said they would have a working document; 33 percent said they would already have a plan in place, and 25 percent said it would be on the list of things to do.
This week’s poll question focuses on a recent article about 3D printing and how O&P clinicians use the technology. Our current question: What is your main use case for spinal braces, especially if you were to consider digital design for a 3D-printed corset?” It’s up and in full swing. So far, it seems it’s most used for scoliosis bracing.
Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
