Hanger LIVE Hosts 1,600 

“Hanger LIVE provided the perfect setting to bring together our valued O&P partners to connect, collaborate, and drive progress within our profession,” said CEO Pete Stoy. “Attendees’ participation and insights were invaluable to the two-day event, with a shared goal of ensuring patients thrive through the transformation of O&P care.”
The Hanger LIVE Showcase featured inspiring patient stories, and the company delivered its annual partner awards recognizing companies providing exceptional products and services that advance the field of O&P. The partners recognized this year were: Ottobock for Clinical Evidence; Infinite Biomedical Technologies for Collaboration; WillowWood for Innovation; and College Park for Operational Performance.
The annual conference offered attendees 120 courses taught by 75 experts from across the country on topic areas such as cranial care, patient advocacy and policy change, outcome measures, 3D printing, and more.
This year’s clinical keynote session featured Robert Sallis, MD, Kaiser Permanente’s director of sports medicine fellowship, and speakers from the Hanger Institute for Clinical Research & Education, including Shane Wurdeman, PhD, CP, FAAOP(D); Phil Stevens, MEd, CPO, FAAOP; Tom DiBello, CO/L, FAAOP; Bretta Fylstra, PhD; Chris Toelle, CO/L; Eric Weber, CPO/L, FAAOP(D); and Kathleen Carroll, MS, MSPO, CPO, FAAOP.
Sallis discussed the importance of integrating fitness and movement into healthcare, and the Institute team shared how evidence-based care and outcomes can expand access to technology for patients.
Hanger also offered a series of sessions for women in leadership, along with a special networking reception for US military veterans to gather as part of the Hanger Veterans Network.
For the second year, the Hanger Foundation hosted its Night to Inspire event, raising over $730,000 to support the foundation’s mission of empowering people with physical challenges to live life as fully as possible.
