Hanger, Austin, Texas, has elected Thomas C. Freyman and John T. Fox to its board of directors, effective immediately. Hanger appointed Christopher B. Begley, the board’s current director, as non-executive chairman, effective January 1, 2018.
Freyman recently retired from Abbott Laboratories after serving as executive vice president of finance and administration. Fox has been CEO and president of Beaumont Health since 2015.
Hanger also announced the retirements of current board chairman Thomas P. Cooper, MD, and director Cynthia L. Feldmann. Cooper is Hanger‘s longest serving director, having joined the board in 1991. He will be designated director emeritus. Feldmann, Hanger‘s second longest serving director, joined the board in 2003.
