Humotech, a developer of wearable device platforms that enable researchers and developers to accelerate innovation in prosthetics, orthotics, and exoskeletons, earned one of the Robot Report’s RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards for the most innovative robotics companies.
Humotech’s Caplex system uses robotics to standardize the fitting process for prosthetic feet by rapidly switching programming so patients can experience various feet in quick succession, making the trial period more efficient than traditional methods.
Invented at Carnegie Mellon University, Caplex technology is licensed and protected by five issued patents, with more pending.
