Tim Marrin, CPO, FAAOP, passed away on March 10. He was 74. At the time of his passing, he was a clinician at Gillette Children’s Lifetime Specialty Healthcare, Minnesota, where he had worked for 21 years.
Marrin served two terms as president of the Northern Plains Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) and served on the board of directors for over ten years.
In 2014, Marrin became a Fellow of the Academy, a national distinction for those who have dedicated substantial time to O&P continuing education and volunteerism. In 1999, he created the O&P Student Association at Century College, where he received his O&P education. Each year, Marrin also represented Gillette Children’s at White Bear Lake High School to encourage students to enter the O&P profession.
