We asked practitioners to share their stories of patients who presented unique challenges or left a lasting impression on them. The patients—a Paralympian, a father, a preschool teacher, a Ukrainian soldier, and a transplant recipient—are as different as January and June, but what they have in common is the experience of limb loss or mobility challenges and a caring clinician who helped them navigate their challenges.
