Lawall Prosthetic and Orthotic Services, headquartered in Philadelphia, hosted an Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) First Stride Training and Clinic on April 7. More than 50 O&P professionals and therapists attended the training session, led by Sheila Clemens, PhD, at Moss Rehabilitation in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. This was the largest First Stride training session, according to OPAF.
Clemens gave a three-hour presentation as an introduction to gait, followed by a two-hour, hands-on train-the-trainer First Stride Clinic with individuals with lower-limb amputations.
