Methodist Orthotics and Prosthetics, with nine locations in Mississippi and Louisiana, held a ribbon cutting for a new clinic in Meridian, Mississippi. This is the first location the company purchased, “solidifying its presence in a community,” according to WTOK, the local television station.
“[We] provide orthotic and prosthetic services and that basically means artificial limbs and orthopedic braces,” Chris Wallace, CPO, FAAOP, director of O&P, told the news station. “So essentially, we assist in people’s independence and functional mobility, and it’s really been an important role here in Meridian. There’s a strong need for our services, and we’ve been very blessed to be here to provide that.
“[We have] had continued growth here, and that’s been a large part due to the staff that we have here in Meridian. Briscoe James, one of our managers, has done a fantastic job, and so we needed to have more patient care areas and modernize our facilities to offer those kind of services that we can. So we use such unique technologies that it’s important to have a facility that matches that technology that we provide.”
