Myomo, Cambridge, Massachusetts, announced the launch of a Center of Excellence program, which will recognize O&P practices in the United States that support its MyoPro line of powered orthoses. The practices will participate in joint marketing and receive training and patient support from Myomo and its network of clinical partners. The practices will partner with physicians and therapists at rehabilitation hospitals that recommend and prescribe MyoPro and train new MyoPro users. Seven O&P practice organizations with a combined 31 locations have met the training, quality, and patient support qualifications to be recognized as a Myomo Center of Excellence, as follows:

· Handspring, headquartered in Middletown, New York
· Valley Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics, headquartered in Bakersfield, California
· biodesigns, headquartered in Westlake Village, California
· United Prosthetics, headquartered in Dorchester, Massachusetts
· Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania
· Geauga Rehabilitation Engineering, headquartered in Chardon, Ohio
In addition, Myomo distribution partner Ottobock, Duderstadt, Germany, is marketing the MyoPro product line to Veterans Administration (VA) medical centers. VA medical centers receive the same type of clinical training and support as commercial O&P practices in the Center of Excellence program.
