George Breece, founding executive director of the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics (NAAOP) will retire at the end of 2025, after 38 years at the helm of NAAOP, a national trade association of O&P practitioners, clinics, manufacturers, and suppliers.
Inspired in his childhood by two members of his family who lived with limb loss, Breece continually put O&P patients first in his service to NAAOP.
“I am blessed and honored to be associated with NAAOP,” Breece said in a brief retirement announcement, thanking many leaders in the O&P profession who have enabled NAAOP to thrive over nearly four decades in advocating for O&P policy issues in Washington, DC and across the country.
