The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) awarded the contract for its O&P workforce study to Health Research Inc., on behalf of the Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS) at the University at Albany. CHWS will lead the study in collaboration with NCOPE.
The two-year project, funded with a $100,000 award and scheduled for completion in June 2027, will provide critical insights into the current and future landscape of the O&P workforce. NCOPE said the findings will support strategic planning for O&P education and clinical training and help ensure that the profession is well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of patients across the country.
