Paddy Rossbach, RN, has been named by the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA)as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO), the ACA announced April 5. The Board of Directors voted unanimously to offer her the position, based on her experience and proven track record in the field of limb loss, the organization said. Rossbach has served as the interim CEO since the resignation of John Miller in September 2001. She has fulfilled a variety of roles within the ACA for the past several years, including Board Chair. A registered nurse and amputee, Rossbach has been involved since 1984 in the education and training of individuals living with limb loss, most notably in the areas of sports and recreational activities for young amputees. As a national spokesperson for the organization's mission and goals, Rossbach will be responsible for the overall management of the organization.Pat Isenberg, MS, has been named chief operating officer (COO). She will work from the ACA's national headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee and will be responsible for assuring the organization's financial stability, managing the headquarters office, and coordinating ACA programs. Isenberg, who was formerly ACA's program manager for training and outreach, holds a master of science degree in education and psychology and has more than 26 years experience in nonprofit management.
