Ohio Willow Wood Acquires Tracer Corporation

Ohio Willow Wood, Mount Sterling, Ohio, has purchased Tracer Corporation, Boca Raton, Florida, Ohio Willow Wood announced July 22.

Tracer Corporation took the O&P industry by storm in 1996 with the release of the TracerCAD Premier system. "This revolutionary CAD system allows practitioners to more quickly manage patients whose needs range from below-knee prostheses to AFOs to spinal braces," noted Ohio Willow Wood spokeswoman Meredy Fullen. "As the worldwide leader in CAD sales for the O&P industry, Tracer has consistently provided user-friendly systems with outstanding customer support that keep facilities coming back again and again."

"There is no question that this acquisition is a significant move for our company," said Robert Arbogast, president of Ohio Willow Wood. "The synergy of these two outstanding companies provides enormous opportunities for the future of the O&P industry. "Selling our company was the furthest thing from my mind. But as we began evaluating ways that we could successfully work together, it became a natural fit," said former Tracer Corporation owner, Greg Pratt.

Pratt is continuing to lead that division of the company and the Boca Raton office is open for "business as usual," according to Fullen.
