The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
(CMS) has assigned four new K-codes for gel inserts, according to a
recently released Program Memorandum. The new codes are effective
October 1, 2002, and provide coverage for prefabricated and custom
fabricated gel socket inserts.
