Mark O’Brien |
Mark O’Brien has recently joined the Prosthetics
Research Study (PRS) engineering team, the organization, based in
Seattle, Washington, announced. O’Brien will focus his efforts on
how the current state of the art technologies can be improved to
better meet the needs of people with limb loss, according to
PRS.
“Mr. O’Brien’s true understanding and practical skill for the
design and fabrication of many of the concepts PRS is currently
working on has already led to the development of the first phase
design for a remote fabrication system which is set for further
development later this year,” PRS said, adding, “With a strong
graphic and technical background, he is extremely motivated to find
ways to reduce the impact of limb loss. Having lived with these
issues all of his life, Mark is in an excellent position to develop
state-of-the-art technology and assess its effectiveness through
his innovative approach.”
