Sam E. Hamontree, CP, will receive the
Titus-Ferguson Award during the Annual Meeting of
the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) March
19-22 in San Diego, California. The award recognizes lifetime
achievement in the orthotic and prosthetic profession and is the
highest level of recognition by the Academy. It is bestowed upon an
outstanding Academy member whose accomplishments and contributions
have made a significant impact on the growth and development of the
profession. Hamontree was a founding member of the Academy and has
served as a past president of the American Board for Certification
in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) and as a member of various
boards and committees of the Academy, ABC, and the American
Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA). He has received
numerous awards during his more than 45 years of accomplishments in
the O&P profession.
