The University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Prosthetics-Orthotics, Seattle, welcomes its newest faculty member, Daniel Abrahamson, CPO, L.PO. Abrahamson began his career in healthcare by earning a BS in psychology from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, after which he worked as a psychologist assistant on a subacute physical rehabilitation unit. There he developed his interest in prosthetics and orthotics, and went on to attend the University of Washington's degree program in prosthetics and orthotics. He completed his orthotic residency at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland Oregon, and his prosthetics residency at Center for Prosthetics-Orthotics, Seattle. He has worked in several private practice settings, but has always maintained an interest in teaching, the university noted.
