Seven leading centers specializing in custom-made orthoses are
now qualified to fabricate all types of Horton’s SCOKJ®
(Stance Controlled Orthotic Knee Joint), according to Horton
Technology Inc., Little Rock, Arkansas. Four companies-Freedom
Fabrication, Havana, Florida; O&P1, Waterloo, Iowa; Oregon
Orthotic System, Albany, Oregon; and Scott Orthotic Labs, Fort
Collins, Colorado, recently attended a special advanced training
course in Little Rock to become qualified to provide all types of
weight-activated and motion-activated SCOKJs. They join three
companies previous qualified: Horton Technology Inc., Little Rock;
Otto Bock Health Care, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Karl Hager Limb
& Brace, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
