Hanger Orthopedic Group Inc., Bethesda, Maryland, has acquired
Advanced Bio-Mechanics Inc., with nine patient care centers in the
Sacramento, California, area. Hanger also has acquired Northern
Virginia Orthotics and Prosthetics Inc., Herndon, Virginia, the
company announced. Net sales for the combined two companies for
fiscal year 2002 were approximately $5.5 million.
