OPP of Arkansas held their second annual educational fair at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday, May 1. Companies sponsoring the event were Felix Limb and Brace, Horton's Orthotic Lab, Jonesboro P&O, and Little Rock Prosthetics. This year's meeting was opened up to practitioners and technicians not employed at the four sponsoring companies, bringing in over 60 attendees with a sold out exhibit hall of 18 suppliers. Break sponsors included SPS, Branford Medical, and Ossur. Concurrent business and technical lectures were offered including: An overview of the Arkansas Insurance Commission given by Lenita Blasinggame, Deputy Insurance Commissioner; ADA law and how it pertains to your O&P practice; Sewing machine repair and shop maintenance given by Jeff Green of SPS; Russ Hornfisher from Becker lectured on marketing and management issues; Silipos, The Bremer Group, and Jim Smith Sales lectured on their products; and State Representative Roger Smith stopped by to discuss legislative issues.
