API Central Fabrication in Paso Robles, California recently announced the promotion of Kirk Woolery, RTPO, from shop supervisor to general operations manager. Woolery will now assist in overseeing business operations beyond the API Lab. His responsibilities will include customer care concerns, research into improving quality, enhancing the technical skills of API employees, and the development of future API product lines. Since joining API in January of 2002, Woolery has been instrumental in helping the company evolve into an efficient fabrication facility. His past experience in patient care has enabled API to bring a more dynamic approach to the fabrication of prosthetic and orthotic devices. "We always try to make every project to a level of quality as if we were going to put it on the patient ourselves," Woolery explains. He looks forward to the new challenges and responsibilities this position will offer, though he has decidedly opted to keep a "hands on" presence within the API lab.
